Monitoring the Performance of Courts and Prosecutor’s Offices
22.12.2014.
The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH) monitors the performance of courts and prosecutor’s offices based on specific performance indicators. The HJPC BiH has established a set of key indicators to evaluate the annual performance of courts and prosecutor’s offices, including case flow (the number of unresolved cases at the beginning of the reporting period, received and resolved cases during the reporting period, and unresolved cases at the end of the reporting period), the collective provisional quota, and the collective quality of decisions.
In addition, the HJPC BiH also monitors data on the age structure of unresolved cases in courts and prosecutor’s offices, based on the year of the initial filing document in each case.
Data on the performance of courts and prosecutor’s offices, as well as the judiciary as a whole, in relation to these indicators are analysed on a semi-annual and annual basis and published in the HJPC BiH annual report.
